CM Bhupendra government has taken a big decision regarding the farmers of Gujarat. Assistance has been announced for farmers to purchase smartphones. Up to Rs. 1500 / - will be provided to a farmer from a family registered with the farmer account holder on purchase of mobile. Through the 'Know Your Farmer' scheme developed by the government, farmers will be able to buy expensive phones at an interest rate, for which the cooperative bank will provide loans to farmers and now with the announcement of assistance, it will be easier for every farmer to get a smart phone.
This would also protect them from falling within the clutches of moneylenders for meeting such expenses and ensure their continuance within the farming activities.
10 per cent assistance or whichever is less than Rs. 1500 will be provided
For this, the government has also laid down a rule that only one account holder will get the benefit of this assistance and it has also been clarified that only 10 per cent assistance or whichever is less than Rs. 1500 will be paid. Importantly, it is planned to give loans to 1 lakh farmers on loan, farmers can get information related to agriculture through phone as well as information about complaints and schemes related to agriculture through phone.
