The cheapest electric car in the country has come to the market, sales start on this date, knowing the features, you will say, 'have to give up'

The Tigor EV has received a 4-star safety rating in the Global NCAP crash test and the Tiago EV is likely to do the same. Talking about the price, Tata Tiago EV can be priced close to Rs 10 lakh, ex-showroom.
Could be the cheapest electric car sold in the country
Tata Motors has recently announced that the company's next electric launch for the Indian market will be the Tiago EV. Now the domestic automaker has officially confirmed that the all-new Tata Tiago EV will make its global debut in India on September 28, 2022. After its launch, this could be the cheapest electric car sold in the country. Actually Tata Tiago is the entry level ICE hatchback of the company and this could be its electric version.
The company has not revealed the specifications of the car
The Tata Tiago EV will be India's first electric hatchback and will sit below the Tiago EV in the company's portfolio. However, Tata Motors has not revealed the specifications and other details about the Tiago EV so far. But the Tiago EV is believed to share the underpinnings and mechanicals with the company's electric sedan Tiago EV. The Tiago EV was launched last year for the PV segment in India.
These are the specifications of the electric car
Coming to the specifications, the Tiago EV features Tata's advanced Ziptron technology, which uses a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor. This powertrain generates 74 bhp, 170 Nm of peak torque. The company claims that this can accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in 5.7 seconds. It also gets a 26 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which gives an ARAI certified range of 302 km per charge.
Hope to get this powertrain in Tata Tiago EV as well
The next new Tata Tiago EV is also expected to get this powertrain. Along with this, the motor, motor power and torque, battery pack and range can also be similar to Tigor EV. Notably, the Tigo EV has received a 4-star safety rating in the Global NCAP crash test and the Tiago EV is likely to be very safe as well.
